A Visit to Kuskem

Kuskem is a village in Goa. This place is thronged by visitors, picknik-ers, nature lovers and so on to visit a beautiful waterfall located within 15 minutes walk from the village. The waterfall is about 120ft tall and is easily approachable.

If one is looking for a peaceful time then the place is a disappointment. The place is already very well known in tourist crazy Goa. Weekends it is crowd time here. Only on weekdays there may be some solitude. A nice place. A fantastic waterfall. A day well spent. Enjoy the photos.

Waterfalls of Karnataka 3

This waterfall is in the middle of private land. The stream flows in a small natural valley covered on both sides by areca plantations. The water slopes down for some distance and then jumps down the remaining distance. Not a great waterfall but a lovely one when in full flow. The locals are friendly and allow visitors to go through their land towards the waterfall. There is a cave above the waterfall which the bats have made their home and it is said that this cave is worth a visit. But one has to take some risk to reach the cave and is better avoided. Height: Approximately 30ft. Best time to visit is during August and September.

Temples of Karnataka 8 - Galageshwara @ Galaganatha

Bottomline: This unique temple was built in 11th century by Western Chalukya kings. Construction started during the reign of Someshwara II and ended during the reign of Vikramaditya VI. Located at a scenic place overlooking river Tungabhadra, the temple has simple interiors but it is the exteriors which catch the attention.
